The immersive outdoor camp is designed to provide you with a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge necessary for outdoor adventures. The camp covers a wide range of topics. With our experienced facilitators leading the training, you can learn the skills necessary to explore the great outdoors safely and confidently:
- “Leave no trace”-principle,
- Planning, preparing and backpacking,
- Setting-up tarps, tents, and campsites,
- The art of making fire,
- Assessing and purifying water,
- Food and cooking in the outdoors,
- Orientation and navigation,
- Weather forecast,
- First Aid,
- Natural hazards and crisis management,
- Environmental stewardship.
Eligibility:
- Between 18 and 30 of age,
- Passionate on outdoor activities,
- Love the nature and the relevant challenges,,
- Good physical fitness: you need to be able to hike 12 km distance and 800 m of attitude,
- ASEAN citizens.
Camp Fee:
40 USD
YEP-Academy provides the following needs:
- Camping/outdoor equipment and training materials,
- Facilitation costs,
- National Park fees,
- Overnight fees,
- Food (will be provided during the camp)
- Transportation (round trip from the departure point in Phnom Penh to Khnang Psar Mountain).
